The Crock-Pott Scholarship began in 2001 as a way to give back and encourage young musicians to pursue their dreams. The music teacher of the Long Branch High School, who knows the students best, decides the yearly winner. Students must have not only exceptional talent, but good academic grades and be accepted to a college. It is not required that they major in music.

Talented scholarship recipients are:
Chanta Ellzey 2001 - to Virginia Polytechnic Institute and state university
William C. Kelly II 2002 - to Rutgers University
Edward Bastelli 2003 - to Lehigh University
Gilbert Brynes 2004 - to Montclair State University in New Jersey

Matthias Jamison Koenig 2005 - to Chicago University
